ForzaTune 4 app good for
Cant play without it ;) great for base tune, hope having update soon as said before release !!!
I LOVE this app - the original ForzaTune was great, and its good to see the quality tradition continue. VERY slick interface, refreshed but familiar - and so easy to use my Grandma can tune cars ... Worth every penny and then some !!
Does what its supposed to giving a base tune. Some cars I used this app for needed some tweaking, but overall saves time. Wish it had a drag setup option.
I really wish it had a designated drag setting. For circuit and drifting this app is prime. Not a lot of people know but you should have no camber when you drag. This app doesnt allow you to drag tune your whole car. Other than that it is unreal and Ive been a fan since forzatune 3
Makes any car above A class in your garage a whole new beast. Minor adjustments needed, but the base tune is fantastic. Hoping for a "super grip" mode also. Make sure your car is upgraded enough to adjust your tune, hence A and anything better. Buying suspension upgrades is a must. Just dont do the calculations until you are satisfied with your upgrades, otherwise you might be disappointed.
First time using a tuning calculator, works great. Saves hours of fiddling. Worth 2 bucks for sure
Some bad moments
The description of this software promised more than it delivered and the claims made by its developers were unfounded. Irregardless of vehicle chosen or controller type used, be it a wheel or a game pad, this app outputs setting that are plain wrong. This app will steer you in the wrong direction and waste your time.
Im stuck on the keyboard because I dont have "done" button and its impossible to "get tune"
This app is great for newer guys tuning F through A class cars, turns slumps into rockets. Try it on S through X and you might as well ask for the medium AI to swipe you off the course because youll get left behind. A lot of the lighter cars seem to be way off on spring and ARB settings especially with higher aero downforce. I.e. SR8 (R1 919 app tuner at 100% stability - 7:25 ring time vs default tune 7:08.) Same goes for the Roisson and any rwd car below 2800lbs. I
Forza Traders FMS3 tool works much better and has more advanced options (Its FREE too). The oversteer and understeer slider is too generic and does not work very well (Specially on the fast cars).
It really needs some revising and development of more advanced tuning features.
What is up with this .2 front toe on all tunes ?
Not all tires work best at 28 PSI.
48% is not always the best breaking bias.
The gearing calculator is not too great either. I guess its for people that drive automatics.
Save your money.
I agree with previous post not all cars and tires use same psi I beleive they need to bring back the engine location as well It gives a decent basline for some cars. The drifting setup could use some work (I beleive being able to select what engine type would help this matter) Update And i well update my reveiw). For now untill this app is updated use forzatune free.
I have found this app to be very useful for tuning my cars in Forza 4. Data entry is simple and readouts are clean and easy to understand. Results have been excellent for me, although to be precise I have only used it for tuning classes from F up to S. I dont race using the R3, R2 or R1 very often and find them pretty well set up by default in the game. For the lower classes, and especially when upgrading a car two or more classes higher than the original, FT4 has proven to me to be very helpful as measured by actually lap time improvements. The Gearing App portion of FT4 has worked pretty well for me too. I use it for when I upgrade a very low class car up two or more grades and have replaced the factory gearbox with an adjustable six speed. Highly recommended.
